MR. MATTHEW BIREN: What we do is we’re a plaintiff’s firm. We represent plaintiffs on a contingency fee basis. And if I had to put into a couple of words what our mission is, or our motto is, it’s aggressive excellence to obtain the best possible results for our clients. Our clients cover a broad spectrum, but the thing they have in common is they have either serious personal injuries or serious financial injuries, or both.

We handle all kinds of catastrophic injury cases. We’ve specialized over the years in handling brain injuries and handling spine injuries, which range from paralysis to neck surgeries, back surgeries, herniated discs, a vast variety of problems. We’ve handled a lot of burn cases. We’ve handled a number of wrongful death cases. We’ve handled cases with all types of complex orthopedic injuries.

We also do things in a little bit different area. We’ve handled a number and specialized in handling insurance bad faith work, where people have been deprived of benefits that they’ve worked hard for from their insurance companies. And we represent people in the business world who have been cheated or who have lost money through—it’s called business torts is the technical term for it.

The one thing that runs true to all of these is we have the same philosophy that carries forward in no matter what kind of case we’re doing and we have a proven track record of getting results for our clients, which starts with we have a proven track record of trying cases and getting good trial results. And that carries over and we maximize settlement potentials as a result of that.
